![]() ![]() Wine is the most profitable item to produce in the game, so this makes artisan a great choice, especially if you are crop focused. But Truffle oil, Wine, Juice, Ale, Mead, Cheese, Honey, Mayonanaise, and all other artisan goods do benefit. Tiller -> Artisan (Artisan goods (wine, cheese, oil, etc.) worth 40% more*) vs AgriculturalistĪrtisan description in game is wrong: oil is not increased by 40%, nor is coffee. In fact, you will make more money with pigs (the most profitable animal, I believe) in the end by choosing Tiller (you will see why with the level 10 profession choices). It is difficult to obtain animals early and getting a lot of production out of them is very difficult. I always choose Tiller, as I favor crop production. Level 5: Rancher (Animal products worth 20% more) vs Tiller (Crops worth 10% more). So, if you pick artisan (artisan goods sell for more) and your friend picks agriculturist (crops grow faster), make sure that he plants the crops and you sell the artisan goods in the bin. Multiplayer: From what I read online and my experience in game it seems that professions affect only the player who chooses them. In mid year 1 to sometime in your 2 (based off how you play the game), you will have the option to change your profession choices for 10,000 gold per skill (meaning you get to re-select both the level 5 and 10 profession for 1 skill), if you are playing on the beta. ![]() The choices you are offered at level 10 are dependent on your choice at level 5.įor more detail on benefits gained at each level and how skill leveling works see the wiki page on skills. When you get to level 5 and 10 in each skill, you get to choose between 2 professions. I will discuss my strategy and the reason behind each decision.īasics: There are 5 skills in the game: Farming, Mining, Foraging, Fishing, and Combat. I think that these choices will align with most players' strategies fairly well, but there may be differences. Overview: This guide is focused on the professions that will get you the resources you need during your first year (you can always pay 10k gold to change your profession later, if you are playing on the beta) in order get the most money and craft all the things you need. Jump to the end for a spoiler free (except obviously the names of the professions) tl dr. It also has a little bit of discussion about certain farm animals and their products. It includes what all the profession choices are and some of the mechanics revolving around skills/professions. Spoilers: This guide is spoiler light, but it does have some minor spoilers.
